The carriers
Airline sponsors and official team partners from many countries and generations.
Olympic aviation, collected
A personal collection about the airlines, aircraft, sponsors, and journeys that connected Olympic host cities, national teams, and fans across the world.
The essence of the collection
These pins capture a side of the Olympic story that is easy to overlook: how the Games traveled. Official airline partners flew teams to host cities, aircraft carried the torch and Olympic symbols, and sponsors turned each journey into a tiny piece of design history.
The collection ranges from airline and Team USA partnerships to boarding passes, luggage tags, aircraft silhouettes, countdowns, and mascot collaborations. Together, they form a visual record of movement—who carried the Games, where they went, and how each era imagined flight.

My collection criteria
A pin belongs in My Collection if—and only if—it has both an Olympic connection and an aviation connection. The connection may be visible on the pin or established by reliable documentation, but a seller’s description alone is not enough.
Required
Olympic rings, a Games emblem or mascot, Olympic or “Olympia” wording, an Olympic team or NOC, a torch relay, or a host city and Games year that clearly identify the Olympics.
Required
An airline name or logo, aircraft, airport, official carrier, aircrew, air cargo, aviation security, or another unmistakable aviation service or industry connection.
Result
If both connections are present or reliably verified, the pin qualifies—whether it is a sponsor issue, team piece, countdown, prototype, sample, variant, or unusual corporate issue.
The decision test
Does not qualify
Generic Olympic pins with no aviation connection; ordinary airline or airplane pins with no Olympic connection; Paralympic-only pins; unrelated sporting-event pins; and items called “Olympic” only in a seller’s listing.
One exception
If multiple pins were designed to sit together and form one larger image, logo, or saying, the assembled composition may satisfy the test collectively. A themed series is not a composite set: every pin in a series must qualify on its own.
